Founded in Istanbul in 2016, MAGO is a contemporary footwear brand built on the belief that women shouldn’t have to choose between style and comfort. Created by designers Marija Bertasiute and Görkem Bilgin (MAGO), the brand began with a simple idea- well designed, beautifully made shoes that feel as good as they look.
Görkem’s background in shoe design- he studied in both Istanbul and Padova, Italy- combined with years of experience working with leading Turkish manufacturers, forms the foundation of MAGO’s expertise. What started in a one-bedroom apartment has since grown into a globally recognised brand, worn by women in over 48 countries.
Every pair of MAGO shoes is handmade in Turkey by skilled craftsmen using premium, gold-rated natural leather. Comfort is a core focus, from flexible outsoles and breathable materials to cushioned latex footbeds designed to support all-day wear. The result is footwear that’s practical, wearable and genuinely comfortable, without compromising on style.
